Portage is a fictional representation of the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada. While the basis for the locations as well as the over all setting, weather and dynamics are created to represent Halifax to the best of the author's ability, the names of places have all been changed. If players wish to have a better understanding of what the city looks like on a map or in pictures, feel free to research Halifax, however realize that it is merely a framework on which a darker city has been build, using the concepts in WoD and imagination of what the WoD would do to a city.
